Due to the reveal of the very vague and very dystopian Anti-homeless A.I Harrassment line by the Sarnia Police, I asked the folks at r/sarnia to help me put this much less dystopian human-made Help list together, to help our neighbours struggling on the street. More to be added!

The Good Shepherd’s Lodge

this should be the number one call for all things homelessness. If they cannot help, they will do their best to point you in the direction of who can help.

The Haven

This is the youth version of the lodge servicing those ages 16-21 for the homeless teens in our community

For women fleeing domestic violence in need of a place to stay, counselling, or support

The Centre

Formerly called The Sexual Assault Survivors Centre- they offer counselling for anyone who has experienced gender based violence.

Additionally, they can point towards other ressources if needed

RiverCity Vineyard. EMERGENCY ONLY

located on Mitton St N, they provide a shelter, free store, church, shower program, and food bank.

They do require anyone who uses their services to be clean and sober and able to pass a drug test

This is a last resort only.

All addictions services in Lambton County are managaed through the hospital. If someone is ready for residential treatment, addictions services at the hospital is the first step.

Withdrawal management can also be accessed through the crisis team at the ER
